If it was a medical fact that Elvis Presley was allergic to codeine, and there was no sign of anaphylaxis present in the body at the autopsy, how did a mega dose of Codeine show up in the toxicology report? If codeine is not in the body, it can't be in the toxicology report; so how did it get there? Who put it there? There is a massive cover-up going on.

It's shocking to learn that the first words out of Vernon Presley's mouth when he learned of his son's death were "My god! They've murdered my son!" It's even more shocking to learn that immediately following the funeral, Elvis' father accused members of the Memphis Mafia of murdering Elvis. Elvis' father wasn't alone; Presley's doctor, girlfriend, chief of security, and even some of his movie co-stars thought there was evidence of foul play. When Elvis' body was removed from Graceland to be taken to the hospital, criminal Investigators were immediately dispatched to the death scene; the upstairs of Graceland. When they arrived, the entire death scene had been sanitized. An investigation wasn't possible; who ordered it?

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, all of Elvis Presley's stomach contents were being dumped down the sink so they could not be analyzed. About this time, Joe Esposito, Elvis' road manager and group foreman had just told the cameras that he had found Elvis dead in bed! Two hours later, his story had changed. That night, the investigator's car was burglarized, and the only items missing were the notes and photos of the death scene. Thirty years later, an Elvis researcher was murdered on his way to give the key note speech at an Elvis Presley research conference. He had just purchased letters written by Elvis naming people who were threatening his life. The previously unpublished and unknown facts of Elvis Presley's death have been hidden for years, but now, finally, the truth must be told.

Who Murdered Elvis? (Audible Audio Edition) Stephen B Ubaney Richard Batson Books

I was not and am not an Elvis fan though I am old enough to vividly remember hearing the news of his death on the day he died. Through a series of recent events, I found myself drawn to the questions surrounding his death and came across this book.

My main criticisms of the book surround the moments in which I felt the author tried to lead the reader into drawing a conclusion that I did not feel was valid. One example is when it is overheard Vernon saying "They have taken" Elvis and the author questioned who "they" would be. Well, granted I can't know the "they" Vernon meant, but my first assumption was "they" were the paramedics. At this point in the story, the paramedics had taken Elvis to the hospital so his body was not there at Graceland.

I also felt that he had a bitter bias towards Ginger Alden. Much of what he said about her was merely hearsay and was not taken from official interviews or eye witnesses. Another example of feeling like he was trying to lead the reader into drawing a certain conclusion was when the author seemed flabbergasted that Ginger didn't know exactly what book Elvis had been reading. I've been married nearly 25 years and I can't tell you what book my husband is currently reading.

The book did require some patience in reading as the content did not seem to flow very well at times from one paragraph to the next. However, in the end, I felt the author conveyed his ideas well enough that I'm inclined to think he has most of it right. My intuitive feeling is that he's 85-90% of the way there. If it's true that some of the sealed records will be released in 2027, then I hope another author can get a hold of that information and maybe build on the work or refine what this author has done.

Who Murdered Elvis? (Audible Audio Edition) Stephen B Ubaney Richard Batson Books Reviews

Intriguing release which is presented as creative non-fiction. Effectively it blends fact, conspiracy and real life people into a stimulating reading cocktail.
As a fan of Elvis for 57 years, I am always wary of sensionalism concerning the death of the KIng..However,I was pleasantly surprised by this book by Stephen Ubaney. This book is very well investigated., well written and convincing. It certainly seems that Elvis was in fact murdered. Poor man - what a terrible life he had - mainly because of Tom Parker. I have always thought he was no good for Elvis. Maybe in his early career, he was a great help for Elvis, but later, greed and his gambling addiction and connections to the Mafia made him a thorn in the flesh for Elvis who became so caught up in this entangled web that he was helpless to get rid of him. A real eye opener. I could not put this book down! Recommend all Elvis fans to read it.
It's not true but it was a good read.
As a lifelong Elvis fan, I remember that horrible August day when we learned of his death. Word quickly spread that Elvis had tragically overdosed on prescription drugs, and most of the world accepted this story without question. After reading this book, I can't help but wonder if we weren't all party to one of the greatest cover-ups of all time. Whether you think Elvis died
accidentally or as a result of a well orchestrated murder plot, you will be amazed at the number of discrepancies among the eyewitnesses, Colonel Parker's indebtedness to the Las Vegas mob, the ludicrous autopsy results, missing evidence, and stolen police and medical documents. Elvis Presley is dead at 42 and in a matter of only a few hours and without any supporting pathology reports, his cause of death is swiftly announced to the world as being the result of cardiac arrhythmia ... a fancy medical term for his heart stopped beating ! Why? When? How? Important questions that were never answered and a curious finding considering the other members of the autopsy team saw absolutely no evidence of heart disease or blockages. Whether you believe the original version of Elvis' death or the new evidence that suggests something more sinister, this book is a must read! You may be surprised by how little you really know about Elvis and his toxic relationship with Tom Parker.
So glad I read this book. Even though it made me sad and angry, I could not put this book down! Opened my eyes to possibilities I've never thought of and at the same time made a lot of sense as the explanation of Elvis's death has never seemed right...
Sad...not something I would ever want to be true, but so mesmerizing!
The book is superfical and full of theories and conjectures and in complete. The book is poorly written also without a proper conclusion.
It was ultimately sad beyond comprehension to think that forces so high up, trusted and respected politically, forces usually blindly thought to be protective, could conspire with greedy underworld people to assassinate someone so beloved nationally and internationally. It all rang very true and, in light of other events and exposure of a cover-up by all involved, is most likely the most probable scenario explaining his death. Mr. Ubaney certainly did his homework and investigated aspects that were never made public. Vernon Presley would have finally gotten the closure he sought had he lived to read Mr. Ubaney's book. Well done.
